Puppy loves "outside"

Toby is loving the spring weather here in Chicago. How can I tell? Um, possibly by the way he runs to the doors by our deck every 3 seconds. Or, how he whines and whines when it's time to come inside. I think puppy had a case of cabin fever along with all of us human-types, so now he is loving loving the weather. Hopefully this means we're able to tire him out a little more! Here's another shot of him on his walk near our house.

Toby's Day at the Beach

We took Toby to the beach today.

It made me nervous to think about him running down the beach, since he acts like we don't exist the second he walks outside. I took the Flip camera I got last holiday season as a gift from a vendor.
I have to say, it works really well for times like that. I actually do have a video camera, but I never use it. I don't really believe in owning a normal video camera until you have kids, but I didn't purchase it. I'll leave it at that so that I don't upset the source... you know who you are.

Anyway, back to the beach. We took Toby to Montrose Harbor in Chicago. It is fenced in on 3 sides and the water is the 4th side. We had no idea what to expect. It ended up much better than I imagined. Toby ran around to the point of exhaustion. He chased dogs, ran after the ball, and pretty much thoroughly enjoyed himself. If only we could get him to listen!
